The Dark Skies Pitcher

Inspired by nights on the water, dark starry skies above and moonlight frolicking on the waves. This piece is handbuilt from slabs of clay with an adorned surface design created by carving into layers of coloured clay. 
 
The dark skies initiative is a world wide movement to restore the dark night. Light pollution at night blocks our view of the universe, contributes to climate change, hinders wildlife, is a waste of energy and effects human health. Many National Parks are adopting the Dark Sky Initiative into their operations as a commitment to environmental stewardship. As a stargazer living near Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada, Stacey's appreciates the dark of night and all it has to teach us. 
 
Dimensions:
Stands 10 inches tall.
Measures 5.5 inches in diameter and 11 inches from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle.
